Import stock historic data into StrategyQuant

Hi Sir,

 

I have some questions as shown below:

(1) In stead of Metatrader4, Multichart, TradeStation, and NinjaTrader,  can we import historic stock data into StrategyQuant from other data sources?

(2) If yes, what kind of data format is required for importing data into StrategyQuant ?

(3) Could you suggest some free and good quality of history stock data sources?

Hello,

 

1) yes, other sources also can be used

2) you can define custom data format. The data should include OHLC prices or trade prices for tick data (including bid ask prices)

3) if you are happy with daily data you can use yahoo or google as a data source for stock prices

If I need historic intra-day price data (say, price data for 5-Minute chart over a 5 year period) for stock, do you have  good (and free) data source?
