Hi There,

I have been using Tick Downloader to get Dukascopy data but I have a feeling the reason backs tests are not matching up across MT4 and SQ3 is due to timezone data differences.

My Brokers candles use the US close which they have listed as GMT+3. I had been using GMT+0 tick data which I believe to be causing the mismatch.

Looking in Tick Downloader they have New York time listed as UTC-5 which is confusing me a bit, should I be using UTC-5 or UTC+3 when assigning a timezone to my tick data?

Thank You.

Hello,

the ideal way is to get data from your broker directly? Do they offer some reasonable amount of historical data?

You should be using the timezone that your broker uses.
