Hi, I have a similar software (not SQ) that I use to develop my EA without coding….
However, this software doesn’t even have basic trailing stop feature available (unless I choose trailing stop as my 1 and only exist option instead of my own trading rules).
Trailing is such as essential and basic trading tools and I need to include it in my EA for quicker respond to sudden market changes.
I understand that trailing stop code can be added to any existing EA (easily, if only you know how) and I want to know how to do it so that I can add this feature to all my EA instead of relying on an external EA to apply trailing stop to all my opened positions.
Kindly direct me to any website or have the code here for me to “cut and paste” (please tell me where to paste…I’m totally new to such thing).
Thanks

Hello,
do you mean you have existing EA (mq4 file) which you need to add trailing stop functionality into? You cannot easily import an existing EA code into EA Wizard. You would have to re-create the rules for EA in Wizard and then you could add trailing stop easily

Hi Tomas,
I have an existing MT4 EA (mq4 file) and I want to add the trailing code into it via MetaQuotes Language (MQL) editor, not via EA Wizard.
I don’t know any MQL programming and I need the trailing function code and guidance from the community on how to cut and paste into my existing EA.

Hello,
ok, understand. It is not that difficult but the best way probably is to find some MQL4 developer to modify EAs for you since you can tweak strategies together. I can show you at least an example though if you want. You can send EA to [email protected] or post in the private section

Thanks Tomas, I’ll select one of my EA and email it to you.
Will drop you a PM once I’ve email to you.

Hi Tomas, I’ve managed on my own to “cut and paste” my trailing code to my existing MT4 EA.
Appreciate your kind offer to help. Thanks
Regards
Hannah
