My friends, one of the reasons I have been interested in this program is the possibility of creating strategies using custom indicators. I’ve tried everything and I can not succeed. One of the indicators I’m trying to import is Zigzag. I attached the indicator that I’m trying to add. Could someone please help me by sending me a step-by-step guide? Thank you!

Hello,

can you try to re-attach? The ideal would be the MQ4 file. Alternatively you can send me it to [email protected]

I will be really grateful if it is possible for me to use these indicators in the StrategyQuant program. I’m taking my first steps and I really wanted to learn how to use this program to create profitable strategies. I’m running the program and so far with more than 48 million strategies, I did not get a single result. Probably I’m not using the program properly. However, I read the entire manual, and I did not find it didactic. So I decided to open this topic to get help from the more experienced users. THANKS!

Hello,

I have modified the ZigZag so it can be imported into SQ. See file attached

Trader_Dynamic_Index and 3_Level_ZZ_Semafor seem to be ok. It is recognized by SQ (input parameters + output buffers)

The problem is always when it comes to this part. What do you actually do from that window? Why do not you have something more didactic? Or did you build the program only for those who have a good foundation of programming? It is very frustrating to try to use a custom indicator for a few days and not succeed.

Hello,

have you looked into details on how to use custom indicators shown in the SQ PDF guide page 93 (chap 7.7)? It is described what to do step by step. Let me know if you still have issues I can help to setup

I read 5 times the manual! No clear steps for it! But I will read it again! That is the only issue I found so far in SQ. If there was a more practical way to import custom indicators, I’m sure several friends would be buying the program. By the way, let’s try again, again and again!
