Hi

I am new in SQ, in one of the strategies I generated in Tradestation code, SQ produced codes such as LongSL, LongPT, ShortPT, ShortSL but they were not defined, could someone tell me what they are?

thanks

Hello,

if you want to use strategy code generated in TradeStation you need to import the SQ pack into TradeStation

In order to make SQ strategies work with Tradestation, you have to import some custom EasyLanguage functions into your Tradestation.

Open your Tradestation, go to File -> Import/Export EasyLanguage and choose Import EasyLangauge File (ELD, ELS or ELA)
then find the file:
{StrategyQuant}/custom_indicators/SQ_Tradestation.eld and import it.
This will import all the additional functions StrategyQuant uses, so your new strategies will run in Tradestation.

Does this also work with Multicharts which is easy language compatible?  I am contemplating moving from MT4 to multicharts, so it would be nice if I could take SQ with me!

Hello,

there should not be any issues importing easylanguage code into MultiCharts. You should also follow the initial step mentioned for running a strategy
