I imported 1min data for Soy Beans (ZS) and Wheat (ZW), and SQ labels ZS as 1min and ZW Intraday.
See attached. Why is this?
This means that I can’t select a higher TF (eg 30min) for ZW. Why is that?

Hello,
you can only import MetaTrader type data to also get higher timeframes. It won’t work with futures data. With futures data if you want to test 15 minutes timeframe you will need to import the data for that.
There are probably some minutes missing so that SQ cannot recognize the timeframe as 1 minute. Try to import 15 minutes or 30 minutes to see if the problem persists

I managed to import futures data by making sure when the was no trading, there were still bars included in the data file.
However, I don’t understand why you say “it won’t work with futures data”?
What is special about futures data?

Hello,
NinjaTrader and Tradestation backtester can work only with Selected Timeframe precision so importing 1min data and choosing a higher timeframe won’t work. This should be upgraded with the new SQ4. Now you need to import data for the timeframe you want to develop your strategies on

Hello,
as Mark mentioned we are getting close to the finish. We already shown the preview of version 4 and the plan is to release a Beta version in the beginning of 2017 January and full version in the next few months.
