Hi,

What is the best/easiest way of modifying a strategy that it would initiate short trades instead of long trades, and long trades instead of short trades, but with same conditions?

I know that going into the code itself, and changing around part of it, is a way, but I’m hoping there to be an easier way inside Strategy Quant?

Thanks for any replies.

PS: I am a starter so please save me from any random “You idiot! Figure it out yourself” answers.

Reversing a losing strategy doesn’t create a winning strategy, you know that don’t you?

Otherwise the 1,000,000 losing strategies I have would all be holy grails…

Yep, thanks for your input, but I do know that. Its not for that purpose. Its for another one of my secret agendas 😉

Hello,

not possible to do that in StrategyQuant directly. But it would take 30 seconds to edit the MQ4 code. You can attach the code if you like

However sometimes it does.
