Hello, there’s a TradeStation EasyLanguage line generated on my Strategy Builder :
SQBBRange(Close, 40, 3, 0)[0]
I know it stands for Bollinger Band range building block in SQ. However, such function is not recognizable in the TS EL editor. How may I resolve this please ?

Have you loaded the indicators provided by SQ into TS.?

No, not yet. I have read all the introductory lessons but haven’t found that part. Is there a guide/link inside SQ that I may refer to for greater details please ?

I do not use TS. TS cannot use the strategies if you do not import the indicators, etc supplied by SQ. They are in the installation directory of SQ and need to be imported to TS otherwise you will have this error. If you are a beginner on TS as well which it seems you are I would rather start with MT4 if I were you.

Ok, thanks for advice, Advanced Member.
As for Forex, I think that makes perfect sense to start with MT4, because I just started to use the demo account of RoboForex to see how the strategy runs in real-time.
However, RoboForex does not give other data feeds. For example, if I want to trial-run on SPY (S&P500 ETF), or Gold Futures contract, etc. TS has all the data and analytic tools available. That will naturally have the SQ tested strategies running on TS platform, isn’t it ?

I would start with FX since you can trade smaller contract size aswell which is reccomended using a new tool. This make sense starting out dont you think, I have traded futures since 2006 but are only trading FX with help of SQ3 and then on Mt4. I found that the only strategies really trustworthy made for futures in SQ3 is generated on the settings trade on bar open . This setting quickly exhaust the type of strategies that SQ3 can find in it´s current version and they come with high drawdown in size of a better but used turbo 911 Porsche automobile.

I see, thanks Advanced Member. TS now only let user to test on the strategies with their FX feed, but not actual algo execution any more. With the new tool SQ Pro 3.8.1 that I just purchased, I suppose we are talking about execution with RoboForex, am I correct please ?
I fully agree that I can just tune up the size in Forex, to replicate any FX Futures contract. So, it doesn’t matter whether I execute FX Futures on TS anymore. What about other asset class futures like Equities and Bonds ? I still have to do this on TS.
So, for futures contract, they are trade on bar close in TS, not trade on bar open, I just have to live with it, I guess …
