1 minute data showing as intraday

Hi,

I downloaded the 1 min data for the USA 500 Index from DukasCopy using SQ Tick Downloader and then imported it into SQ.

In SQ the Data Manager shows the timeframe as Intraday and not 1 min. Why?

It was my understanding that by downloading and importing 1 min data (specifically) that I would be able to then build strategies for other (higher) timeframes. When choosing this Symbol to build strategies, I am only able to select “Intraday” as a period.

Please help!

I think I got two things mixed up…

To build strategies for different periods, import tick data.

To make testing more accurate, choose 1 min test precision.

you can also use multiple timeframes when you import 1min data but it needs to be recognized as 1min.

If you ZIP and upload the data we can have a look at it why it is not recognized

I used your SQ Tick Downloader, so I guess if you download it, it will be the same?

I zipped it and tried to upload it here with no success:

what date range (and timezone) did you use to download the data? I can test it whether the problem is on your side only

All available data – 30.09.2011 – 06.12.2016.

Have tried France 40 Index also. Same problem.

UTC ‘“ Dublin – default.

I had the same problem with DAX index, so I downloaded tick data and it is ok now. Try do download directly from ducascopy webside. 

Yes, works if you download tick data. Does not work if you download 1 min data.
