excellent EA, but it won’t trade :(

Hi,

I have made an EA in SQ that looks to be really good, with good equity curve, not a lot of drawdowns, great profit potential etc.. 

But it hasn’t opened up a single trade 🙁 

(Highly frustrating. Got out of bed really early this monday morning to watch it take off..)

What have I done wrong?

Good to know trade frequency per month, week or day on average so you have some feeling for when trades could happen.

it is hard to say, Does it open trades every day in the backtest?

You should know how often you can expect it trading.

 

Does it work when you backtest it ion MT4?

 

If it still doesn’t open trades check the Terminal Journal if there isn’t some error message (like forgotten custom indicators, incorrect trade size, etc.)

Yes, it was me a bit too eager.

It has since taken off: right now it has nine trades on.

I guess it was picking and choosing the moment that it would put the trade on.

Most people are expert traders that take on, or not, SQ. I am using SQ to teach me 🙂
